Fiery accidents involving trucks have shut down parts of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Turnpikes.

The eastbound lanes of Pennsylvania Turnpike are closed between Willow Grove and Bensalem due to a fire in a tractor-trailer in Southhampton.

On the other side of the river, the New Jersey Turnpike was closed in both directions after a truck overturned and caught fire under an overpass near Exit 12.

At 1:15 p.m., the New Jersey State police said the northbound outer lates of the Turnpike had reopended but both sets of southbound lanes and the inner northbound lanes remained closed.

Some of those lanes may remain closed through the evening rush hour so experts can evaluate the condition of the overpass, police said.

There is no word yet when the Pennsylvania Turnpike accident will be cleared.
