Eagles' Michael Vick deals with uncertain future

Michael Vick is one person in Philadelphia who's not paying attention to the Eagles coaching search. Even though the decision could have an impact on Vick's future, the Eagles quarterback said the only NFL activity on his radar has been the playoffs.
"I've got to get back," Vick said at a charity event on Monday night. "That's a must in my career."
The question is not just if that will happen, but where it will happen. By his own admission, Vick faces an uncertain future. The Eagles owe Vick $3 million if he is on the roster on Feb. 6, and he is due to make $15.5 million in 2013. A source close to Vick told The Inquirer last month that Vick would not renegotiate his contract.
"There's a lot of uncertainty," Vick said. "That's a part of it. I'm not going to focus on that right now. The season has just ended and I just want to take some time to reflect on what needs to be done moving forward. The most important thing is get healthy, get ready to go."
Vick will start working out again in another week. He played only 10 games this season and sustained a significant concussion in addition to enduring big hits each week.
One coaching change that Vick followed was Andy Reid's. Reid was introduced as the Kansas City Chiefs coach on Monday. Vick said he believes Reid can jump-start Kansas City's stagnant offense.
"I think he's going to do great there," Vick said. "I'm pretty sure Andy will come in and fill that void" on offense.
Vick still spends time in Philadelphia, and Monday's charity event raised money for the Boys & Girls Clubs in Philadelphia and Newport News, Va.
Vick hoped to donate 20 to 30 Apple computers to the Philadelphia club.
He said he would remain charitable wherever he plays next season. It's unlikely it will be in Philadelphia, but time will tell and a new coach will factor into that decision.
"It's time to wait and see what happens," Vick said. "I'm excited about my future. I'm going to train extremely hard to train to be the best quarterback I can be."
