Vegas Vic has dropped his Super Bowl point spread again. The Eagles are now 4.5-point underdogs

The line opened with the Eagles as 6-point 'dogs, despite their convincing win over the Vikings to clinch the NFC championship. The spread dropped to 5.5 and slowly kept creeping downward throughout the week. It's an indication that the majority of bettors are taking the Eagles.

Oddsmakers adjust the line to try to encourage wagers on New England. If there is an even split of action on both teams, the house cleans up on the juice — the coast of placing a losing bet, which is generally 10 percent.

Some parlors had Eagles plus-4.5 earlier like the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, which opened Sunday at 4.5 went up to 5 midday before returning to 4.5 early Sunday evening.

Both teams are 12-6 this year against the spread. While New England is 1-1 in the postseason, the Eagles covered both of their playoff games by winning outright as underdogs. They've made this a rallying topic as they pursue the first Super Bowl championship in team history. The game is Sunday, Feb. 4 in Minneapolis.
