Neuvirth was ill, but the Flyers had no immediate update on Elliott, who missed the last game with a lower-body injury and was listed as day to day.

The Flyers were missing goalies Brian Elliott and Michal Neuvirth at Monday's practice, their first since the all-star break.

No need to panic, general manager Ron Hextall said.

Hextall said Neuvirth had a stomach virus, and that Elliott was on the ice before practice in Voorhees but had to leave for precautionary reasons. The GM said he hopes Elliott can practice Tuesday.

Elliott missed the last game with a lower-body injury and is listed as day to day.

The Flyers will resume action Wednesday in Washington.

"I'm hoping both are able to play," Hextall said.

Patrick, Simmonds moved to No. 2 line

Based on Monday's practice, Nolan Patrick and Wayne Simmonds will move up to the second line and be linemates with Jake Voracek. More coming.

Giroux a surprise

Captain Claude Giroux, who played in the All-Star Game on Sunday in Tampa, was told to stay home and rest Monday. Instead, he showed up at practice.

"G wanted to be at practice. That's who he is," coach Dave Hakstol said. "G wanted to be out there with his teammates and, hey, that's a good thing for our team."
