The Union topped the Harrisburg City Islanders, 3-1, in their annual friendly Monday night at Clipper Magazine Stadium behind goals from Conor Casey, Cristian Maidana, and Ethan White.

Harrisburg, which was the Union's USL affiliate until Aug. 19, opened the scoring in the 44th minute. Brett Jankouskas ripped a shot from outside the box past a sprawling John McCarthy.

The Union rebounded quickly in the second half. After a series of shots bounced around in the box, White was able to tap a shot past Kyle Renfro to level the score in the 48th minute.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 66th. Sebastien Le Toux drew Renfro off his line before slotting a pass across for Maidana to finish into an empty net.

Le Toux added his second assist of the night nine minutes later, making a run up the sideline and then sending a pass into the middle for Casey to chip into the back of the net.

The Union return to Major League Soccer action Saturday when they travel to San Jose to face the Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m.
