Drexel to retire former scoring star Keishana Washington’s jersey
Washington is the Dragons' second-leading scorer all-time and finished third in the nation with 27.7 points per game last season. She currently plays for Torun in Poland.
The Drexel women’s basketball team announced Tuesday that it will retire Keishana Washington’s jersey before the Nov. 8 season opener against Norfolk State at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
Washington, a native of Pickering, Ontario, had a historic season for the Dragons last year, finishing third in the nation in scoring with 27.7 points per game. She finished her career second on Drexel’s all-time leading scoring list with 2,363 points and is the top Canadian NCAA women’s basketball scorer of all time.

Washington went undrafted in the WNBA draft but signed a training-camp contract with the Minnesota Lynx. She eventually was released and currently is playing for Torun in Poland, where she’s averaging 18 points in three games so far.
