Knowing When to Fold
Aaron Ritz, of Philadelphia, was the overall winner of the first ever Brompton U.S. Championship race in Philadelphia on March 20, 2010. Brompton is a type of folding bike made in England. More than 60 riders dressed in business jackets and ties, as required competed in the six mile event in West Fairmount Park. Ritz and the top woman finisher, Beth Greene, will receive a trip to London to race in the Brompton World Championship later this year. ( David Maialetti / staff photographer )
