Cooper DeJean appears to be dating Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and Netflix star Abby Summers. Here’s what we know.
DeJean attended the Kentucky Derby with Summers, and it’s not the first time they’ve been spotted publicly.

Sorry, Nikki Bella fans. It appears Cooper DeJean has moved on. And his new love interest might come as a shock to Eagles fans — because she isn’t just a Netflix star, she’s also a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
After appearing to date the professional wrestler, who attended Eagles games in DeJean’s jersey and responded to chants directed at her during a WWE stop in Philadelphia, the third-year cornerback has been spotted publicly multiple times with Cowboys cheerleader Abby Summers, most recently at this weekend’s Kentucky Derby.
Summers posted a video from their hotel room showing off their Derby outfits with the caption “Derby timeeee.”
While neither DeJean or Summers has officially confirmed their relationship status, social media was off to the races, taking this as an official “hard launch” of the couple, with one comment comparing them to a “modern day Romeo and Juliet. ”
Summers, who has spent two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, was part of the 2024 rookie squad that appeared in season two of “America’s Sweethearts” on Netflix.
While the DCC has strict rules against cheerleaders dating any players on Jerry Jones’ team, there is nothing that prohibits them from dating other NFL players.
Bengals kicker Cade York and former Cowboys cheerleader Zoe York were dating while she was cheering for the Cowboys. The two were married last July.
Prior to moving to Texas, Summers was a member of the dance team at Ohio State, and like DeJean, knows a thing or two about winning.
During her time at OSU, the dance team won at least one title every year at the UDA National Dance Team Championship, including a sweep in all three categories — jazz, pom, and gameday — during Summer’s senior year.
Currently in the middle of auditions for next season, it was Summer’s fellow Cowboys cheerleaders who seemed to confirm the relationship between the division rivals.
Kleine Powell commented on Summer’s post, calling it “Derby day aka hard launch day,” while another teammate, Michelle Siemienowski, commented that she’s “been waiting on this”
And anyone who has been paying attention to DeJean’s offseason social life has been waiting for this too.
In March, the two were spotted together at a University of Iowa basketball game. DeJean is from Odebolt, Iowa and played for the Hawkeyes.
While some might think bringing a significant other to your home state and former college is a sign of something serious, former Eagles center Jason Kelce had other thoughts: DeJean was under cover.
Whether that’s DeJean’s plan or not, this new relationship is finally shutting down the ongoing rumors about DeJean and Bella.
Even after DeJean’s appearance on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” in February, where he called Bella a “good friend,” fans were convinced there was something between the two — that was until Summers came along.
Now, the question is about the official status of DeJean’s new relationship. But the even bigger question remains: How will the two fare when the Eagles and the Cowboys meet in the 2026 season?
