The Eagles have a ton of primetime games. Five NFL teams have none.
The Eagles will certainly be in the spotlight this season.
Jalen Hurts and company landed five primetime games, eight national windows, and just five 1 p.m. kickoffs, at least for now.
By comparison, there are five NFL teams that didn't earn a single primetime spotlight – New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Las Vegas Raiders.
A breakdown of all 14 teams the Eagles will play in 2026

Eagles to host the Panthers in Week 6: report
Eagles preview their 2026 schedule release video
Eagles to play the Titans in Week 2: report
We finally appear to have an answer to a burning question Eagles fans have been asking all week.
The Birds will travel down to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 on Sunday, Sept. 13, according to NFL reporter Ryan Fowler.
Why so much interest? As my colleague Jeff Neiburg explained, the Birds haven't played in Nashville since 2018 and the city's Broadway strip is quite a draw for traveling fans looking for a road trip.
Eagles to face the 49ers in Week 17: report
The Eagles will travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers on Jan. 3 in Week 17 on Sunday Night Football, according to NFL reporter Ryan Fowler.
The game will be a rematch of last season's wild-card game, when the 49ers booted the Eagles out of the playoffs. But games against San Francisco always come with some extra juice, thanks to the Eagles' one-sided victory in the 2022 NFL Championship Game, and the postgame complaints from 49ers players.
Thankfully for Kyle Shanahan's wife, Mandy, the game will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. According to Shanahan, she refuses to attend games in Philadelphia after complaining about the "fan experience" in the stands at the Linc.
Full 2026 Christmas schedule revealed: reports
All three of the NFL's Christmas games in Week 16 have now been either announced or reported.
Here's what Christmas Day will look like for NFL fans, according to multiple reports:
Packers at Bears (1 p.m., Netflix)
Bills at Broncos (4:30 p.m., Netflix)
Rams at Seahawks (8:15 p.m., Fox)
What hasn't been confirmed yet is which two teams will be playing on Christmas Eve Thursday night on Amazon.
Eagles to face the Giants in Week 9 and Week 18: report
The Eagles will reportedly end the regular season on the road against the New York Giants.
The Birds will face the Giants and new head coach John Harbaugh at MetLife Stadium in Week 18, according to Giants personality Bobby Skinner, who also reported the two teams will face off in Week 9 on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Linc.
Eagles to play the Saturday before Christmas at the Linc against the Seahawks: report
The Eagles could be taking over another 2026 holiday.
The Birds will host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 on Saturday, Dec. 19, according to NFL reporter Ryan Fowler. The game will either air on Fox in the afternoon or CBS in the evening.
The Saturday game frees up the Eagles to be scheduled to play on Christmas Eve, which falls on a Thursday this year. So the Birds might be invading two holidays in 2026.
Eagles to face the Cowboys in Week 7 on 'Monday Night Football': report
Eagles to open 2026 season at home against the Commanders: reports
The Eagles will open the 2026 season at the Linc in a Week 1 divisional matchup against the Washington Commanders, according NFL reporters Ryan Fowler and Jordan Schultz.
It's unclear what time the game will start or which network will air the game.
The Eagles have won five straight season openers, but their last Week 1 loss came against the Commanders during the 2020 season at FedEx Field.
Why do Eagles fans care so much about Birds-Titans game?
I played in a charity golf outing on Friday, and two of my playing partners — both men in their 60s — asked if I had any insight on the Nashville trip. I don’t, but I do know Eagles fans are really excited for this road trip. You have to imagine there will be some bachelor and bachelorette parties built around this one.
The Eagles haven’t played in Nashville since 2018, and the city’s famous Broadway strip might feel more like Broad Street than Honkytonk, just like Bourbon Street morphs into South Street-lite every time the Eagles are in New Orleans.
Besides finding out if they need to get their passports ready, there probably isn’t a road game that has the attention of Eagles fans like the short flight to Nashville does.
Two Eagles prime time games reported
Despite a disappointing early exit from the playoffs last season, the Eagles remain a big TV draw.
The Birds' Week 2 Super Bowl rematch last season against the Kansas City Chiefs drew 33.8 million viewers, the most for a regular-season game that didn't take place on Thanksgiving. And it's looking like the Eagles will get their fair share of prime-time games this season.
According to NFL reporter Ryan Fowler, the Eagles will play in at least two prime-time games:
Week 3, Monday, Sept. 28: Eagles at Bears (8:15 p.m., ESPN/ABC)
Week 8, Sunday, Nov. 1: Eagles at Commanders (8:20 p.m., NBC)
Bears-Lions on CBS for early Thanksgiving game
Eagles fans now know their Thanksgiving appetizer.
The Detroit Lions will face the Chicago Bears in the early Thanksgiving game in Week 12, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. on CBS.
That will lead into Eagles-Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Fox.
Notable 2026 NFL games
Outside of the Eagles, a handful of notable 2026 games have either been announced by the league's media partners or reported.
Here are some non-Birds games that stand out so far:
Week 1: 49ers at Rams in Melbourne, Australia (Thursday, 8:35 p.m., Netflix)
Week 1 (first Sunday Night Football game): Cowboys at Giants (Sunday, 8:20 p.m., NBC)
Week 2 (first Thursday Night Football game): Lions at Bills (Thursday, 8:15 p.m., Amazon)
Week 3: Ravens at Cowboys in Brazil (Sunday, 4:25 p.m., CBS)
Week 11: Vikings at 49ers in Mexico City (Sunday, 8:20 p.m., NBC)
Week 12 (Thanksgiving eve): Packers at Rams (Wednesday, 5 p.m., Netflix)
NFL will have a record number of international games
A record-setting nine NFL games in the 2026 season will take place across four continents and include three new host cities — Paris, Rio de Janeiro, and Melbourne.
That's up from seven international games last year, but short of Roger Goodell's stated goal of 16 games per season.
The Eagles will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 5, the Birds' third international game, following wins in São Paulo, Brazil in 2024 and London in 2018.
What will be different about the NFL schedule this year?
This is the fourth season of an 11-year deal with TV and streaming partners worth over $100 billion (which the NFL is trying to squeeze more money out of), so the general schedule should look similar to last season.
But there will be a few quirks. Here are some things to know:
NFL triples-down on Christmas: This year, the league will celebrate Christmas on a Friday with three games — two on Netflix, and a third evening game on Fox. It’s just the third time since 1989 the NFL has scheduled Friday Christmas games — San Diego Chargers vs. Tennessee Titans in 2009 and New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, which drew over 20 million viewers and shifted the league’s mindset about the holiday.
Netflix gets more games, including a new Thanksgiving eve window: In addition to its two Christmas games, the NFL created a new Thanksgiving eve window at 8 p.m. that Netflix will stream through the 2029 season. The streamer also landed the NFL's first-ever game in Australia in Week 1 and Week 18 game at 1 p.m. which will have playoff implications.
So much for the death of broadcast TV: In an era where more and more games are going behind a streaming paywall, the NFL carved out new national games for NBC, CBS, and Fox. NBC’s new game will be a Week 17 Saturday night special that will air at 4:30 p.m. Philly time on Jan. 2, while CBS landed a Saturday night game in Week 15, which will air Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. Fox landed the league’s Munich game in Week 10, creating a rare “triple-header” of games airing all day that Sunday. It also landed the earlier Saturday game in Week 15.
Peacock gets an exclusive game, but not YouTube: Peacock, NBC’s subscription streaming service, will offer one exclusive NFL game this season — a Saturday night matchup in Week 17. The odd streamer out appears to be YouTube, which didn't make any NFL announcements at its upfront presentation Wednesday and reportedly “balked” at the idea of splitting a package of games with Netflix, according to Puck.
Eagles 2026 opponents
While we won’t know all the dates until Thursday night, we do know all the Eagles’ opponents.
In addition to facing their NFC East opponents — Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders — here’s a rundown of the teams the Eagles will play:
Eagles home games: Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks
Eagles away games: Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans
2026 NFL schedule release: One show, two networks
When: Thursday, May 14
Time: 8 p.m. Eastern

Now that ESPN owns the NFL Network, a special edition of SportsCenter will air on both networks beginning at 8 p.m. revealing the full 2026 schedule.
The two-hour special (which will air on ESPN2) will be hosted by Laura Rutledge and feature ESPN analysts Dan Orlovsky, Peter Schrager, and Andrew Hawkins. NFL Network host Kyle Brandt will also be part of the broadcast, his first crossover trip to Bristol.
