Restaurant Details
Triangle Tavern
Long a casual eatery frequented by cops, crooks and crooners, the Triangle was reborn in 2015 with one eye toward classic Italian-American favorites and another on hipper, gently fancier fare. In fact, many of the menu’s old-school options — spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parm, mozzarella sticks — are available in vegan iterations as well. One could argue that the carnivores come out on top, however. Craig LaBan has nothing but good things to say about the neighborhood-favorite linguine with clams “white,” the mollusks bathed in a garlicky broth, and the lasagna smartly stacked with “sweet ricotta, crumbled D’Angelo’s thyme sausage, and ground beef.” Oh, and everyone loves the spiked “slushy jawns” offered in a rainbow of sweet flavors.
