Manager at Philadelphia McCormick & Schmick’s tied up during armed robbery, police say
The gunman stole several thousand dollars from the restaurant's safe, according to police.

The manager of a Center City steakhouse was assaulted and robbed of several thousand dollars as he prepared to close the restaurant early Sunday morning, according to police.
The robbery took place about 1 a.m. as the victim was about to leave McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood and Steaks on South Broad Street, across from City Hall. While the manager was in the restaurant’s rear office, an unidentified man entered, drew a gun, and ordered the safe’s contents emptied into a backpack.
The manager was then forced to lie on the floor as the robber bound his hands, police said. The suspect fled on foot.
