Woman shot dead in Strawberry Mansion

A woman was fatally shot Thursday night in the city’s Strawberry Mansion section, police said.

The woman, described only as in her 50s, was shot twice in the chest and twice in the stomach inside a residence in the 2600 block of North 33rd Street. Police rushed her to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The suspect was a known male who remained at large Thursday night.
