The Sixers have not made an announcement.

A 6-foot-8 forward, Sampson was the 2013 Big East Rookie of the Year. He played two seasons at St. John's and this past season averaged 12.8 points and 6.1 rebounds.

Sampson, 21, went undrafted this past year. He played for the Sixers during the Orlando Summer League, averaging 8.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in 19.4 minutes.  His best game came in a 92-71 win over Houston, when Sampson scored 13 points (on 5 for 5 shooting) and grabbed eight rebounds.
