TAMPA - Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren, who has been criticized for the team's tumble, is not in danger of losing his job, according to a source close to the situation.

"Look at his body of work. He's done a very good job," said the source. "He's not going anywhere."

The Flyers are 13-15-1 and 11th in the Eastern Conference. They play at Tampa Bay (12-15-1) on Monday night in a battle of scuffling teams.

Timonen to be honored. Kimmo Timonen will play his 1,000 career game on Monday, and the Flyers will honor him before their March 26 home game against the New York Rangers.

Breakaways. Tampa Bay has six rookies in its lineup.......Ilya Bryzglaov (2.78 GAA, .899 save percentage) will face the Lightning's Anders Lindback (2.93, .902).....After Monday's game, the Flyers won't play again until Sunday in Pittsburgh......Jake Voracek, who leads the Flyers with 31 points, has 21 points, including 10 goals, in his last 14 games.....The Flyers' mission Monday: shutting down the line of Steven Stamkos (20 goals, 38 points), Martin St. Louis (37 points, 30 assists) and Teddy Purcell (23 points). ...Former Flyer Matt Carle, who has 10 points for the Lightning, called Monday's game "huge for both teams."...The Flyers, who have just two even-strength goals in the last 14 periods, will use the same lines as in their 2-1 SO win over New Jersey on Friday....The Flyers' PP is 0 for 8 against Tampa this season.
