Craft fair in Phoenixville
Mom's House and Phoenixville Senior Center will sponsor a craft fair and a flea market with open Saturday house to learn more about Mom's House, an organization that assists single parents facing unplanned pregnancy with child care and support services to further their educations, find employment options and avoid welfare. Both organizations will benefit from the sale of handmade items made by local crafters, new and used books, videos, toys, furniture, plants and food. Party for a Purpose
CDG, aka the Cirque Design Group,will host a fund-raising event on June 7, featuring a special concert by Grammy-nominated pianist David Lanz. The party will also include an elegant dinner and celebrity auction of items autographed and donated by such stars as Alicia Keys, the Goo Goo Dolls, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLauchlan, Dido, Jamie Lee Curtis, Donny Deutsch and Chelsea Handler. The event will benefit Keep a Child Alive, an organization with a mission to bring attention to the pandemic of AIDS affecting Africa's children by proving life-saving medication, support and orphan care.
