Refereshing lemonade
Alex's "Original" Lemonade Stand returns Saturday for its ninth annual event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Penn Wynne Elementary School, 250 E. Haverford Road, Wynnewood. Alex's "Original" has raised more than $300,000 for pediatric cancer research, organizers said. Community leaders, family and friends will meet at the elementary school that Alex attended. Highlights will include a moon bounce, face painting, books, yoga, and arts and crafts activities. The 32d annual Delaware County Fair opened this week and continues through Sunday at Linvilla Orchards, 137 W. Knowlton Rd., Media. The fair runs in conjunction with Linvilla's annual Strawberry Festival from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The fair features 27 amusement rides, games, music, and food from 5 to 10 p.m. today, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Discount coupons are available in Linvilla's Farm Market, which will extend its hours until 10 p.m. this weekend. Prices vary, but a $20 wristband is good for five hours of rides.
