The Tar Heels (7-3) regrouped from a weekend loss at top-ranked Kentucky with an easy win against an instate opponent. They shot 49 percent and had a 20-point lead midway through the first half, cruising in the same arena where they'll play in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament in March.
Kayel Locke scored 17 points for the Spartans (4-7), coached by former Tar Heels player Wes Miller.
VCU 78, Belmont 51 - Freshman Justin Tillman scored 16 points and the host Rams (7-3) smothered the Bruins (7-4) with a 27-10 first-half run to earn the victory.
JeQuan Lewis added 13 points for VCU, while Belmont was without its leading scorer Crag Bradshaw (21.3 ppg.), who is nursing a bruised calf.
Edinboro 74, Cheyney 54 - Kevin Larkin and Rasahn Brinkley (Germantown) combined for 34 points but it wasn't enough as the visiting Wolves fell to the Fighting Scots.
Randolph-Macon 105, Cabrini 92 - Aaron Walton-Moss (Camden) led the Friars with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists and Vinny Walls (Camden) added 16 points as visting Cabrini fell to 5-4.
Mercyhurst 72, West Chester 59 - Cory Blake (Rustin) had a team-high 16 points, but it was not enough as the Golden Rams (3-6, 2-3 PSAC) were crushed by the host Lakers (7-3, 4-1).
University of the Sciences 74, St. Leo 65 -
Brianne Traub scored 26 points, Jessica Sylvester (Nazareth) made seven three-pointers for 21 points and Laura Trisch (Archbishop Wood) added 15 points as the Devils (4-4) won their second straight in Florida.
West Chester 63, Mercyhurst 57 - Chikisha Steele-Hook scored 17 points to lead three players in double figures as the Golden Rams (8-0, 5-0 PSAC) remained unbeaten with the win in Erie, Pa.
Wesley 71, Arcadia 64 - Maureen Fiocca (Neumann-Goretti) scored 15 points with five boards to lead the Knights, while Addy Crenny (Camden Catholic) scored 11 points with a game-high 15 rebounds and Megan Fox (Woodbury) finished with six points, nine rebounds and a game-high seven assists in the Knights' loss to the visiting Wolverines.

Surgery for Creighton
Drexel guard Meghan Creighton (Archbishop Carroll) will be out indefinitely with a right knee injury that will require surgery later this week.
Creighton, a junior who has started every game for the Dragons since the start of her freshman season in 2012-13, is ranked among the national leaders in assists per game (5.9) and assist-to-turnover ratio (3.15).
