Frankford man wounded in crossfire

A 19-year-old man was critically wounded when he was caught in the crossfire of a Frankford shootout yesterday. Police said the shooting occurred on Brill Street near Duffield at 12:18 p.m., when several men opened fire at each other after an argument.

Police said the shooting occurred on Brill Street near Duffield at 12:18 p.m., when several men opened fire at each other after an argument.

The victim, whose name was not released, was standing outside of his house and was shot several times in the back.

Police said the shooters apparently ran off.

Investigators said the victim yelled for his father, who helped him into a car and took him to Frankford Hospital- Frankford.

The victim was later transported to Frankford Hospital-Torresdale, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police said it did not appear that the victim had anything to do with the gunmen or their dispute. *
