As a result of Thursday's incident in which two elevators malfunctioned, injuring two employees, the Criminal Justice Center at 1301 Filbert St. in Center City will be closed Friday for most events.

The only exceptions will be preliminary arraignments, bail acceptance operations, and emergency protection from abuse services. Anyone in need of these services may still report to the basement of the CJC.

All jurors already seated for a trial that is already in progress, as well as any witness, victim or defendant involved in any trial or matter already in progress should report to the CJC on Monday, unless otherwise notified.

All prospective jurors, witnesses, victims and defendants notified to appear for a trial or matter on Friday should not go to the CJC, and should wait to be notified by the Court as to when they will be required to appear.

Anyone having received a juror notice or subpoena of any type to appear in a matter being held in Philadelphia City Hall is still required to appear as scheduled.
