Phila. police ID 6 victims of 4 shooting incidents

Philadelphia police this morning released the names of six homicide victims killed yesterday in four incidents across the city.

Shortly after 9 p.m. last night, two men were fatally shot in the 2300 block of North Marshall Street in North Philadelphia, said Officer Jillian Russell.

Barry Johnson, 33, of the 500 block of West York Street, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 9:25 p.m.

Rubin Rasheen Eason, 28, of the 2300 block of North Hancock Street, was shot in the head and arm. He was transported to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:41 p.m.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the back during the same attack. He was taken to Temple and was reported in stable condition. No arrests were reported.

Shortly before 1 p.m., two men were shot to death in the 100 block of West Indiana Avenue.

Jose Ortiz, 45, of the 3200 block of Rorer Street, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 1:05 p.m.

Roberto Beltran, 38, of the 2900 block of Howard Street, was also shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests were reported.

At 1:53 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of North Ringgold Street in North Philadelphia.

Tyrone Reese, of the 2800 block of North 24th Street, was found shot to death inside a residence.

A 27-year-old man was found nearby at 24th and Somerset Streets with a gunshot wound to the face. He had fled the shooting scene and collapsed. He was reported in critical condition at Temple.

At 12:19 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the 6800 block of Paschall Street in Southwest Philadelphia.

Rupert Tulloch, 47, of the 2200 block of South 67th Street, was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at scene.

Police reported no arrests.
