Three men were killed Wednesday when they were struck by cars in separate incidents in Northeast Philadelphia, police said today.

The first victim, Tyrell Graves, was crossing Roosevelt Boulevard at Bridge Street in Summerdale about 12:40 a.m. when he was hit by a southbound Audi A6 sedan and dragged about 100 feet, police said.

Graves, who lived nearby on the 900 block of Bridge Street, died at 1:15 p.m. at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Police arrested the car's driver, Tricia Miller, 39, of the 400 block of Lyceum Avenue, in Roxborough, and charged her with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter, DUI, and other offenses.

In the second incident, Joseph Ellerkamp, 71, was fatally injured while crossing East Cheltenham Avenue near Vandike Street in Wissinoming.

Police said Ellerkamp started to cross the street, but then turned around and was hit by a car about 11:06 a.m.

Ellerkamp, who lived on Vandike Street, was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died at 3:58 p.m., police said. The driver stopped and has not been charged.

The third fatal encounter occurred just after 5 p.m. on Cottman Avenue at Dungan Road in Rhawnhurst.

Police said Patrick Tierney, 60, was crossing Cottman when he was hit by a northbound car.

Tierney, of the 7500 block of Lawndale Avenue, died at 5:26 p.m. at Jeanes Hospital.

The driver remained at the scene and has not been charged.
