Northeast Philly restaurant burns

Fire burned through Cafe Longano in the Bustleton neighborhood of Far Northeast Philadelphia overnight, leaving one firefighter with a minor injury.Firefighters were dispatched shortly after midnight to the free-standing, Italian cuisine restaurant on the 9000 block of Old Bustleton Avenue. The initial call reported heavy smoke flowing from the roof of the 50-feet by 100-feet big eatery. The restaurant, which boasts of its wood fired oven pizza and panini sandwiches, was soon engulfed in flames. The fire was knocked down by 12:45 a.m., but one firefighter suffered a minor knee injury in the process of fighting the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
