A 19-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition yesterday after being struck in the back by an apparent stray bullet in Northeast Philadelphia.

A 19-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition yesterday after being struck in the back by an apparent stray bullet in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police said the man, whose name was not disclosed, was wounded as he stood talking to his father about 12:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of Brill Street.

According to police, the father said he heard men arguing in the area moments before the shooting.

Police said the father drove his son to Frankford Hospital-Frankford Campus. He was transferred to Frankford Hospital-Torresdale Campus, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

There were no suspects and the investigation was continuing, police said.
