Young man shot to death while sitting in car

A man in his early 20s was shot dead as he sat in a car about 2:45 a.m. Sunday in the 6200 block of Race Street, police said.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was shot once in the head and once in a shoulder, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. - Mark Fazlollah
