Eagles' inactives vs. Bears include DT Beau Allen, TE Trey Burton
Rookie wide receiver Shelton Gibson is making his Eagles debut in place of Marcus Johnson.
Eagles defensive tackle Beau Allen and tight end Trey Burton will not play Sunday against the Chicago Bears because of injuries suffered last week against Dallas. Allen has a knee injury and Burton has a back injury. Both players were questionable.
The Eagles' other inactives are tackle Will Beatty, linebacker Daniel Ellerbe, wide receiver Marcus Johnson, running back Wendell Smallwood, and quarterback Nate Sudfeld.
Johnson is a surprise inactive. Rookie Shelton Gibson will make his Eagles debut after sitting the previous 10 games this season.
Rookie Elijah Qualls is active as the fourth defensive tackle because Allen is out. Qualls and Destiny Vaeao are the backup defensive tackles.
The Eagles only have two tight ends. Brent Celek will get more work and offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo could be used as an extra tight end on running downs.
