Super Wawa on Voorhees-Berlin border on Route 73 gets its final approval after court case
The Wawa will straddle the Voorhees-Berlin town line on Route 73 northbound.

After a denial and a lawsuit, plans for a super Wawa were approved by the Voorhees planning board Wednesday to build on Route 73 northbound near the intersection of Cooper Road.
The Wawa, which will straddle the Voorhees-Berlin town line, received approval from Berlin Township in August. The store will have two driveways — one on Route 73 and the other on Cooper Road.
Voorhees residents, worried about Cooper Road traffic backups, protested the Wawa plans at the planning board in September 2025, and permission was not granted.
Developer NIKI-J&J Voorhees Cooper Partners LLC sued after the rejection, and the parties reached a settlement in state Superior Court in August that requires NIKI-J&J to make improvements on Cooper Road to address the traffic concerns.
Under the plan, a 5,915-square-foot Wawa store with 12 gasoline-fueling stations will be built on 4.95 acres.
