Neumann Goretti point guard Khaafiq Myers isn’t going far to continue his basketball career.

The 5-foot-10, 150-pound senior point guard tweeted his commitment to St. Joseph’s on Tuesday. He is the first member of the Hawks’ class of 2024.

Myers picked St. Joe’s from a list that included Big 5 rivals La Salle and Drexel, as well as George Washington, North Carolina A&T, and others.

Myers initially delayed his commitment to give himself the opportunity to showcase his skills in the Peach Jam AAU championship. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.3 steals in 22 games and helped lead Neumann Goretti to the PIAA Class 4A final, where it lost, 62-58, to Lincoln Park.
