Villanova added a second member of its incoming 2026 freshman class when Baltimore’s Carter Fisk announced his commitment to the Wildcats.

Fisk, a 6-foot-2 combo guard out of St. Frances Academy, was named the Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro player of the year after averaging 17.1 points, 3.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds while leading St. Frances to a Baltimore Catholic League championship.

Fisk is a late-rising prospect whose initial offers were from lower-level Division I programs. Villanova was the first among a handful of mid-to-high-major programs to get involved with Fisk during and after his senior season. He recently had interest from Ole Miss, Penn State, and Virginia Tech.

With a crowded backcourt ahead of him, Fisk projects as a developmental guard for the 2026-27 season. Villanova’s roster overhaul left the Wildcats with Tyler Perkins as the only returning backcourt player. Last season’s leading scorer, Elijah Crawford, an Illinois-Chicago transfer, is expected to be the starting point guard next to Perkins. Villanova will bring Cornell’s Jake Fiegen, St. Bonaventure’s Buddy Simmons, and incoming freshman Adam Oumiddoch off the bench. It’s unclear if Fisk has a path to a role as a freshman.

Villanova’s roster is now at 10 players, but the Wildcats could have a major addition to the roster coming.

They have been involved with 7-foot-3 Italian professional Luigi Suigo, who is still in the NBA draft process and has until July 13 to pull out of the draft and sign with a college team. Villanova is the front-runner to land him, though BYU has also been in pursuit.
