A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized in stable condition after he was shot several times Friday afternoon in North Philadelphia, police said.

The shooting occurred shortly before 3:20 p.m. in the area of 1200 Fairmount Ave. in an outdoor courtyard, police said.

The teen, who was shot in the leg and foot and possibly in the chest, was transported by police to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, police said.

A witness told police that the shooting may have been connected to a fight that happened earlier in the week at Benjamin Franklin High School.

The shooting was recorded on surveillance video, police said.

No arrests were immediately reported.
