Eagles-Jets: Start time, channel, how to watch and stream

The Birds have never lost a game against the Jets, and they'll be facing Zach Wilson, who has struggled this season.

The Eagles (5-0) look to remain undefeated as they take on the New York Jets (2-3) at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands Sunday afternoon on Fox.

The NFL had higher hopes for Eagles-Jets, which would’ve featured Jalen Hurts going up against Aaron Rodgers. But with Rodgers out for the season, the Jets have had to suffer through the growing pains of Zach Wilson, who has thrown five interceptions and has a quarterback rating of just 73.4. His overall record as a starter for the Jets — including the team’s Week 1 win against the Buffalo Bills, where Wilson came in on the fifth play — is just 9-17.

Last week, the NFL flexed Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers in at 4:25 p.m. Despite that, Eagles-Jets still will broadcast across most of the country Sunday afternoon — it’s just not a true national game, which is why it’s Kevin Kugler and former Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez calling the game on Fox, not Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen for the second straight week.

Over at CBS, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo are calling New England Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders, despite the game having a relatively small TV footprint outside of New England and the western U.S. The game is being played at Allegiant Stadium, site of this season’s Super Bowl, which gives Nantz and Romo and chance to get in a dry run at the stadium.

The Eagles will be without some key players Sunday, including wide receiver Quez Watkins, who was placed on injured reserve. Rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter (ankle) and five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay (knee) also have been ruled out.

In addition to remaining undefeated, the Eagles have a bit of history on the line Sunday. The Birds have never lost to the Jets, dating back to 1973. Overall, the Eagles’ record is 0-12, including Gardner Minshew starting in place of an injured Hurts and leading the Birds to a 33-18 win.
