Eagles 2025 NFL trade deadline tracker

The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m., and the Eagles have already made a few moves to bolster the team ahead of another playoff run.

Here are all the players the Eagles have acquired leading up to the deadline.

  1. Jaelan Phillips, LB: The Eagles are giving up a third-round pick in the 2026 draft for Phillips, who has 29 QB pressures this season and three sacks in his last five games.

  2. Jaire Alexander, CB: The Eagles acquired the two-time Pro Bowler from the Baltimore Ravens for a 2026 sixth-round pick. The Birds also got the Ravens' 2027 seventh-round pick. Alexander's last few seasons have been marred by knee injuries, but he was a healthy scratch five times this season.

  3. Michael Carter II, CB: The Birds gave up wide receiver John Metchie III for Carter II, who added some much-needed depth at corner. It could also mean the Eagles will move Cooper DeJean outside.

What to know about Jaire Alexander

The Eagles were busy during the bye week, with Howie Roseman executing several trades on the defensive side of the ball.

In addition to adding cornerback Michael Carter II from the Jets and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips from the Dolphins, the Eagles acquired former All-Pro corner Jaire Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick on Saturday.

A 28-year-old former first-round pick by the Green Bay Packers, Alexander struggled to break into Baltimore’s defensive rotation after joining the Ravens in the offseason.

Eagles open as underdogs against the Packers

Before their bye, the Eagles picked up two consecutive wins over the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants — improving to a 6-2 record and setting the stage for a postseason rematch against Green Bay.

The last time these two teams met was during last season’s NFC wild-card matchup, and the Eagles came out on top with a 22-10 victory at Lincoln Financial Field. They also met earlier in the season, way back in Week 1, in São Paulo, another victory for the Eagles. For Monday night’s contest, the Birds won’t have to travel quite as far as Brazil, as this time they’ll make the trip to Lambeau Field.

Meanwhile, the Packers are coming off a shocking 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers on a game-winning field goal as time expired. Despite the Eagles coming off a bye week and two straight wins, the sportsbooks are backing Green Bay, who opens as a 2.5-point favorite for this Week 10 matchup.

'He’s rare': Reaction to the Eagles trading for Jaelan Phillips

Jaelan Phillips, the new Eagles defender Howie Roseman acquired from Miami on Monday, has a history with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio that dates back to his time in Miami.

Fangio’s tenure with the Dolphins was rocky at best, but Phillips thrived in his defense, recording 6.5 sacks in 8 games.

“[Phillips was] one of the only players that apparently liked Vic Fangio and that Vic Fangio liked the year he was in Miami,” Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio said Monday.

Packers hobbled ahead of Eagles game

A week before hosting the Eagles on Monday Night Football — an Eagles team that is 6-2 and coming off a bye — the Packers lost, 16-13, to the visiting Panthers. That was the good news.

They also lost linchpin tight end Tucker Kraft to a torn ACL.

First-round rookie receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder), starting defensive lineman Colby Wooden (shoulder), and $77 million free-agent left guard Aaron Banks (stinger) also all left the game for good with injuries.

Updated look at the Eagles' 2026 draft picks

The Eagles parted with a 2026 third-round pick Monday morning to acquire Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. It was the second time in three days the Eagles offloaded a 2026 pick to upgrade the roster before the trade deadline, and the third time since the season started that the Eagles parted with 2026 selections (they traded two of them for Tank Bigsby in September).

That’s four 2026 picks out the door in a span of two months. So, what’s left?

The Eagles now have five 2026 picks and are projected to add three compensatory picks. Here’s an updated look at what picks the Eagles have on their hands for the 2026 draft.

  1. Round 1: Their own

  2. Round 2: Their own

  3. Round 3: Jets pick

  4. Round 3: Projected comp pick for Milton Williams

  5. Round 4: Their own

  6. Round 4: Projected comp pick for Josh Sweat

  7. Round 5: It’s unclear what regular pick the Eagles still have here. Previous trade reports have not been revealed the answer. They either have their own, Atlanta’s, or San Francisco’s.

  8. Round 5: Projected comp pick for Mekhi Becton

How Jaelan Phillips impacts the Eagles' depth chart

The Eagles made an upgrade at their obvious position of need Monday morning, when they agreed to acquire edge rusher Jaelan Phillips from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick.

It’s not a small price for a 26-year-old with injury history on an expiring contract, but Phillips immediately becomes arguably the best pass rusher on the team when he’s healthy and playing at his best. No one knows that better than Vic Fangio, who coached him in Miami. The Eagles want to win another Super Bowl, and it is effectively the cost of doing business.

But Phillips’ addition will have obvious ramifications on the depth chart. Let’s start by laying out the rotation.

Five things to know about new Eagles LB Jaelan Phillips

Howie Roseman has been active approaching Tuesday’s 4 p.m. NFL trade deadline.

After adding cornerbacks Jaire Alexander, a two-time Pro Bowler, and Michael Carter II, Roseman was back at it on Monday. The general manager added to the Birds’ edge rusher room, trading a third-round pick to acquire linebacker Jaelan Phillips from Miami.

Eagles make another trade, acquiring edge rusher Jaelan Phillips

Pass-rush help is on its way to the Eagles.

The team is acquiring Jaelan Phillips from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick, a league source confirmed to The Inquirer on Monday morning.

The Eagles will look to tap into Phillips’ upside, bringing pass-rush juice to an edge rushers rotation that has combined for just 5½ sacks through eight games.

What’s next for the Eagles before the NFL’s trade deadline?

It’s possible the Eagles made two deadline-week deals for defensive backs and could still start their Week 10 game in Green Bay with a combination of Quinyon Mitchell and Kelee Ringo on the outside and Cooper DeJean in the slot.

Michael Carter II has declined since 2023, a season that led to the Jets signing him prior to the 2024 season to the richest deal for a slot player. Jaire Alexander, meanwhile, has been a healthy scratch on what has been a bad and banged-up Ravens defense. He was a second-team All-Pro, though, in 2022 and is 28 years old.

Change of scenery can have real value, but it’s not like the Eagles traded for two players who should be expected to make immediate impacts.

Jayden Daniels could miss rest of season with dislocated left elbow

Washington Commanders Jayden Daniels will undergo an MRI Monday after dislocating his left elbow during their blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks Sunday night, according to ESPN's John Keim.

Daniels is currently sidelined indefinitely, but depending on the severity of the injury, his season could be over, Keim reported.

"I'm gutted by it," Commanders head coach Dan Quinn told reporters after the game.

Which Birds players could be on the trading block?

The Eagles have parted with some picks this season, and they could always use more ammo in that department both for the draft itself and for future deal making.

The Eagles are buyers, but they could sell, too, especially if they can fetch a pick for a player that isn’t likely to make an impact this season — and they have a few of those players.

Tank Bigsby has emerged as the backup running back behind Saquon Barkley. The Eagles went so far as making AJ Dillon a healthy scratch for Week 7 in Minnesota and then dressed him but didn’t play him in Week 8. Could Dillon net the Eagles a late-round pick? He seems likely to be a 53-man roster casualty in the coming days regardless.

Eagles exit their bye week atop the NFC

The Eagles (6-2) celebrated their bye week by jumping to the top of the NFC.

Thanks to losses by the Detroit Lions (5-3) and Green Bay Packers (6-2-1), the Eagles are now the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The Packers, whom the Birds will face in Week 10 on Monday Night Football, were upset by the Carolina Panthers (5-4) on a game-winning 49-yard field goal by rookie kicker Ryan Fitzgerald.

NFL trade deadline: Date and time

The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. Eastern.

It's the second year in the row the league has scheduled the deadline between Weeks 9 and 10. The trade deadline used to fall after Week 6, but got pushed back to the day after Week 8 in 2012.

Once the deadline passes, teams can’t make trades until the start of the new league year, which is 4 p.m. on March 11, 2026. It’s also the date teams can begin signing free agents from the previous year.
