Fast, cheap and open late, this beloved West Philly staple offers hearty Ethiopian meals in an intimate, casual setting. A common Abyssinia experience involves a plate of thick and aromatic Wot stew — have it veggie, or with beef, chicken, lamb, shrimp, etc. — served on a fresh blanket of fresh and chewy injera sour bread. Larger groups should go for the platters that will have you swiping injera and sampling stews from a big dish in the middle like Hungry Hungry Hippos.
