Moriarty's

American, Gastropub$

Given its proximity to the Forrest, the Walnut Street Theater, and the Avenue of the Arts, this Center City spot has long welcomed theater-goers through its bright blue doors. But really everybody loves Moriarty’s — for its dark wood décor, cozy vibes, and its affordable, above-average pub grub menu full of stews, cheesesteaks, and shepherds pie. And then there’s Moriarty’s “nose-tickling, neon-orange” buffalo wings, as Craig LaBan puts it. “This venerable Irish pub serves them plump, crisp, and punchy with Frank’s hot sauce heat.”
