A Burlington County man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of his cousin during an argument Friday night at a residence in Browns Mill.

Antwian Warthen, 29, was charged with killing Horace Warthen, 39, of Burlington City, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Pemberton Township Police Chief David King.

Police said they responded to a call at 9:15 p.m. Friday at Antwian Warthen’s home in Browns Mill but were told that the victim had already been taken to the hospital. When they arrived at Capital Health at Deborah, an urgent-care center in Browns Mill, police said, Horace Warthen had died.

Antwian Warthen left the medical center on foot, and he was arrested about 30 minutes later nearby. He was charged Saturday with murder and weapons violations and is being held at Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly until a hearing can be conducted.
