The IronPigs will become the Rubber Duckies on July 9 for a good cause
The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs will rebrand as the Rubber Duckies to support the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.

The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs will rebrand as the Rubber Duckies on July 9 for their game against the Columbus Clippers in their annual “Duck Night” to support the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.
“Duck Night,” presented by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, debuted last season with its first Chuck a Duck fundraiser, which is set to make its return.
Fans will be able to purchase rubber ducks at Coca-Cola Park, the home of the Phillies’ triple-A affiliate, and throw them onto the field toward targets to win prizes. Last year’s fundraiser sold more than 2,500 ducks, raising more than $4,000.
“The Rubber Duckies identity captures the spirit of resilience and joy we see in our patients every day. We’re honored to be part of this meaningful night,” Dr. J Nathan Hagstrom, the chair of pediatrics at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, said in a press release.
The team’s on-field look will feature a yellow jersey with a rubber duckie logo and “Lehigh Valley Rubber Duckies” written across the top outlined in orange. That same orange outlines the piping of the chest and sleeves. The blue bottoms will represent the water in a bathtub, and the hat has a yellow base and an orange bill with the rubber duckie decorating the front.
“Baseball was never meant to be this fowl,” IronPigs president and general manager Kurt Landes said in a news release. “But for one single night, fowl will be fun. Thousands of ducks, zero quacks. Baseball’s most ridiculous new tradition is hatching on July 9. We want everyone in the ballpark to wear their best yellow.”
Game-worn jerseys and hats will be auctioned off at the end of the game with proceeds benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley. In addition to their uniforms, there will be a full suite of merchandise available to purchase at the Clubhouse Store and online.
