The Phillies punched their ticket to the National League Division Series Wednesday, blowing out the Miami Marlins in their second straight sweep of the wild-card series.

Philly won the series behind two strong performances by pitchers Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola, who combined to allow just one run on eight hits across 13⅔ innings. Game 2′s win was also powered by Bryson Stott’s grand slam, which he blasted off a first-pitch fastball.

“He calls them nukes,” hitting coach Kevin Long said following the game. “And he hit a nuke tonight.”

The divisional round is a best-of-five series, so the Phillies will be on the road for the first two games before returning to the electric atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park, which ESPN’s Jeff Passan compared to a college football game.

“It’s an SEC stadium in baseball,” Passan said on SportsCenter earlier this week. “And you don’t see these sorts of crowds that are up all game long, that are cheering at the right time, that get in guys’ heads — or really, in their ears.”

Here’s everything you need to know about the National League Division Series between the Phillies and Braves:

Who is the Phillies opponent in the divisional round?

For the second straight season, the Phillies will face the Atlanta Braves in the divisional round, which begins Saturday.

The Phillies went 5-8 against the Braves this season, but Philly went 4-3 against Atlanta in September, including a blowout on Sept. 18 when Zack Wheeler limited the potent Braves offense to just one run and four hits.

The Braves were the best team in baseball and the first to clinch a playoff spot, racking up 104 wins. But the Braves also topped 100 wins last season, and the Phillies defeated them in the divisional round in four games, including a Game 1 win in Atlanta.

Wheeler is expected to start in Game 2, with Nola getting Game 3. The Phillies haven’t announced a Game 1 starter as of Thursday morning, but The Inquirer’s Scott Lauber reports it’s likely to be lefty Ranger Suárez.
