Former Atlantic City Mayor Jim Whelan has a message for America as it heads into the homestretch of an election in which it might find itself having to seriously break its Donald Trump addiction.

Former Atlantic City Mayor Jim Whelan has a message for America as it heads into the homestretch of an election in which it might find itself having to seriously break its Donald Trump addiction.

Donald will be just fine.

"It's about him making money," Whelan said. "He's going to make a lot of money before this is all over. He's got the hard core Trumpsters and this will be his base for whatever he decides to do. He'll be fine.

"We're not going to have to have a benefit for Donald."

"I can't tell you how many interviews I've had with media," near and far, he said, during the election cycle. "I tell them all the same thing. What was he like? Exactly like he is now. There's no subtlety here."

Whelan is familiar with the Trump end game, when all the big plans Trump talked about never really come to fruition.
