Italian Market to get 'wishwall' installation for papal visit

The Italian Market will play host to a "wishwall" art installation for Pope Francis' upcoming visit this month, courtesy of The Wishwall Foundation.
Located at the Montrose Piazza on 9th and Montrose in the Italian Market, Philly's very own papal wishwall will feature wishes, intentions and prayers from guests in order to create an uplifting "freestanding art installation." The event is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 26 and 27.
In addition to the wishwall, the event will also air a live simulcast of the papal Mass on Sept. 27. Refreshments, entertainment, and various family-friendly activities will be available onsite.
Montrose Piazza will be tented off for the Wishwall Foundation's event, and seating will be available.
The Wishwall Foundation is a non-profit concerned with "making dreams come true through a the help of a global network." More information is available here.
