Details of the separation aren't immediately known. Burke took to Twitter late Thursday night to thank his fans and fellow CSN employees who have followed and supported him during his 18 years at the station.

"Broadcasting sports in Philly has been a tremendously rewarding experience for me," Burke said. "I reported to a fan base that loves it from January to December and all over again, and it's a great place to work in sports."

"I'll continue to look for the next place where I can be an asset and grow," Burke said. "I'll be in touch."
