Vince McMahon: Randy Savage will go into the WWE Hall of Fame

WWE Chairman and chief executive officer Vince McMahon said that legendary wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during an interview with Steve Austin Monday.

Although McMahon revealed during the podcast that Savage will receive an induction at some point, he did not say exactly when the former WWE Champion will receive the honor.

Savage was an integral part of the wrestling boom of the 1980s and won the WWE Championship on two occasions, and the WWE Intercontinental Championship on one.

He also put together a number of classic matches and feuds, including memorable WrestleMania encounters with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior.

Savage died suddenly in 2011 after suffering a heart attack while driving with his wife in Seminole, Fla. He was 58 years old.
