Person killed by SEPTA Broad Street Line train

Police are investigating the death at the Allegheny station.

A person was struck and killed by a SEPTA Broad Street Line train in North Philadelphia.

The incident, which remains under investigation, happened about 9:25 a.m. Monday at the Allegheny Station.

SEPTA suspended service on the Broad-Ridge Spur and ran shuttle buses between the Erie and Girard stations on the Broad Street Line for about 2 ½ hours after the fatality.
