The dust hasn't even cleared from the elections on Tuesday and there's already debate about who should run in the 2014 midterm elections. One name in particular stands out:

Ashley Judd

.

If certain pundits and Democratic Party honchos have their way - and Fate is on her side - the Kiss the Girls star may become the next U.S. senator from Kentucky. USA Today and MSNBC say Judd, 44, a committed University of Kentucky basketball fan, is being recruited to run against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in 2014.

U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth (D., Ky.) tells the Louisville Courier-Journal that Judd's fame would ensure that campaign funds would "pour in" for her.

Huffington Post political analyst Howard Fineman recently told MSNBC the Dems are serious about Judd. "They want her. I know they want her," he said. "The money people in Kentucky want Ashley Judd."

Judd told The Tennessean during the summer that she had not been approached to run in the election just past, and she wouldn't have accepted such an offer.

Ariel Winter not abused, says mother

Chris Workman

has responded to allegations that she beat her 14-year-old daughter, up-and-coming

Modern Family

starlet

Ariel Winter

.

"It's all untrue," Workman tells People mag.

In court papers filed last month, Ariel claims her mom subjected her to "ongoing physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing) and emotional abuse . . . for an extended period of time."

Ariel was promptly removed from her home and placed with her sister, former One Life to Live actor Shanelle Gray. Gray has filed to be named Ariel's legal guardian.

Meanwhile, the National Enquirer says Ariel fell out with her parents because they don't approve of her beau, 17-year-old A.N.T. Farm hunk Cameron Palatas. The tabloid claims Ariel wants legal emancipation.

So much happiness for Sara Ramirez

In a shocking admission about the effects of a wedding on the human psyche,

Sara Ramirez

freely says her recent nuptials have made her a happy woman. "I have a very romantic outlook on life right now," the

Grey's Anatomy

star tells Latina mag. "I'm really happy and I'm focusing on the light and the love all around."

Sara, 37, wed business analyst Ryan Debolt on Independence Day.

"We had a very intimate ceremony with friends and family and there was so much love in that space, I can't even tell you," she says.

Marriage was even more special, she says, because her life experiences had convinced her that "I would be one of those gals that never got married."

Wedding, schmedding. Don't sweat it

Miley Cyrus

is decidedly more nonchalant about the whole wedding thing. The country-pop megastar, who during the summer became engaged to

Liam Hemsworth

, said on

The Ellen DeGeneres Show

on Thursday she's not going to sweat the details.

"I don't care what color the napkins are, to be honest. I really don't care," Cyrus, 19, tells DeGeneres. "Because I didn't really realize until I got a wedding planning book what you have to decide on."

The wedding-planning ritual doesn't impress her. "It's a lot of weird detail," Cyrus said. "I don't want to be doing too much and be crazy and forget about the moment of it all." (Moment? She means meaning, right?)

When's the happy day? No idea, but it won't be this winter: Miley's too busy finshing up her next album and planning another world tour.
