Police investigate reported kidnapping in East Fairmount Park

Police were investigating a reported abduction of an unidentified woman who was forced into a car Thursday afternoon in East Fairmount Park.

Shortly before 3 p.m. in the 3200 block of Sedgley Drive, a black woman was grabbed by a black male and forced into the trunk of a dark blue Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows, police said.

The man was described as light complected and wearing a black skull cap and white T-shirt, police said. The Pontiac, which had the letters "JT" in the license plate, was last seen heading west on Girard Avenue towards Kelly Drive. - Robert Moran
