Former Bucks teacher pleads guilty to sex with student

A former Central Bucks middle school teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with one of her students.

Bridgett Szychulski, 31, had sex with the boy, then 14, at least three times while she was a music teacher at Lenape Middle School in 2012.

She pleaded guilty to charges including statutory sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault. Prosecutors said she could receive two to three years in prison when she is sentenced in about 90 days. A judge deferred sentencing to allow an evaluation of whether she should be considered a sexually violent predator.

Szychulski, who moved on to teach at one of the district's high schools, was suspended last fall after her arrest.
