Appeals denied for four on Pa. death row
The state Supreme Court this week denied appeals for four local men on death row for murder. They are:
Terrance Williams, 42, of Philadelphia, who was convicted in 1986 of the June 11, 1984, beating death of Amos Norwood during a robbery. The murder, which Williams carried out with an accomplice, was done while Williams was out on bail in another robbery.
Angel Reyes, 63, of Chester, who was convicted of drowning his 4-year-old daughter, Marcia, on May 25, 1993, in a dispute with the girl's mother. Reyes dropped the child into Ridley Creek off a bridge in Eddystone. The girl's body was found the next day.
Henry Daniels, 43, and Kevin Pelzer, 40, Philadelphians who were convicted of murder, conspiracy, kidnapping, and other offenses in the May 25, 1993, killing of Alexander Porter, 16. The two kidnapped the victim, bound him, and threw him into the trunk of his car with the intention of holding him for ransom.
Their plans changed, however, and the two ended up using the teenager's keys to burglarize the residences of his mother and father. They left the victim in the trunk for about 24 hours, then decided to dispose of the body. To make sure he was dead, they shot him four times in the back of the neck.
