An Ambler woman whose body was found last year in a cornfield died from an epileptic seizure, though whether her death involved foul play remains unknown, authorities said.

An investigation by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office found that Natalie Marella, 26, also suffered a blunt-force injury to her head, Coroner Walter I. Hofman said Wednesday. Tests showed Marella had not taken her antiseizure medicine for "a significant number of days," he said.

On Tuesday, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and New Hanover Township Police Chief Kevin McKeon asked for help from the public to determine who might have been with her at the time of death. "I don't know if any of us know at this moment if something happened at the hands of another person to cause a seizure or if she had a seizure and fell and hit her head," Ferman said Wednesday.

On Aug. 29, a farmer found Marella's body in bushes bordering a cornfield on Little Road in New Hanover Township. Marella was about 20 miles from her home. "Someone was involved with bringing her to that location," Ferman said.
