Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn will miss two weeks because of an injury suffered in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Columbus, the team announced Sunday.

On Monday, the Flyers will recall a defenseman to play in Tuesday's game against the visiting Islanders. Candidates include Andrew MacDonald, Mark Alt, Davis Drewiske, and Sam Morin.

Late in Saturday's game, Schenn was checked into the boards by Columbus' Michael Chaput, fell awkwardly, and appeared to injure his left foot or ankle.

Chaput was selected by the Flyers in the third round of the 2010 draft.

Schenn's brother, Brayden, fought Chaput late in Saturday's game.

The Flyers are short two defensemen because Radko Gudas has another game to serve on his three-game suspension.

Luke Schenn has two goals, five points, and a minus-9 rating in 23 games this season.
