We’re almost at the end of spooky season — and that might be a good thing for Philly sports fans. It’s been quite an October. The Phillies were bounced from the playoffs on the first day of the month. After a week, Lane Johnson had retired and Cam Jurgens was traded. The Eagles still haven’t won a game this month and Jalen Hurts was lost for the season. The Flyers took more than two weeks to pick up their first win of the season following the worst start in franchise history. Even the Union, who clinched a postseason berth this week, saw their months-long unbeaten streak snapped and were nipped by the injury bug, with star players like Milan Iloski and Cavan Sullivan going down. And that’s just scratching the surface. But hey, at least there are the Sixers.
