Eagles open as underdogs against the Commanders; Super Bowl odds plummet
Plus player props for Week 8.

After losing five consecutive games, the Eagles have a chance to get back into the win column on Sunday night as they travel to Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md., to face the Washington Commanders for the second time this year.
Here are the updated game odds and Super Bowl odds along with some interesting prop bets from two of the biggest sportsbooks:
Eagles vs. Commanders odds
The Commanders are coming off a bye week and hosting an NFC East rival in prime time. The last time the teams met was to open the season at Lincoln Financial Field, and the Eagles walked out with a 24-22 win.
Now, the teams look a little different. The Eagles likely have lost Jalen Hurts for the season and are missing several other stars. Meanwhile, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is just a few weeks removed from a left elbow injury, and they’re missing running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt and wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who tore his patellar tendon in the Commanders’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
As the Eagles head into Week 8, FanDuel and DraftKings have them listed as underdogs on the road.

Passing touchdowns
For the second consecutive week, McKee threw one passing touchdown in the Birds’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Daniels threw two passing touchdowns against the 49ers, his fifth touchdown pass in four games.

Makai Lemon led the Birds in receiving yards last week with 67 yards on seven receptions. Dallas Goedert followed with five receptions for 48 yards. For the Commanders, Chigoziem Okonkwo led the team with seven receptions for 69 yards in their loss to the 49ers.
There currently are no prop bets for Eagles receivers.
Touchdown scorers
Saquon Barkley, Makai Lemon, and Dameon Pierce scored for the Birds last week. Meanwhile, Stefon Diggs and White found the end zone for the Commanders in Week 6 vs. San Francisco.
NFC odds update
At DraftKings, the Eagles’ odds of winning the NFC continue to fall with each defeat. Following their home loss to Dallas, the Birds now trail the Commanders and the New Orleans Saints with the 15th-best odds.
Super Bowl odds
The Eagles’ Super Bowl odds took another hit after their Week 7 loss, dipping to +30000 on DraftKings and +22500 on FanDuel. The Buffalo Bills and the 49ers remain the favorites to win it all.
