LeBron James, Joel Embiid out for Sixers vs. Hornets; Jaylen Brown is questionable
James and Embiid will sit out on the second game of the Sixers’ second back-to-back.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A night after 76ers stars Joel Embiid and LeBron James played the front end of a back-to-back, both will be out for the tail end at Charlotte.
Both will miss their second game of the season. Embiid officially is out for right foot plantar fascia injury management, while James is listed as out for lower back/sciatica management.
James and Embiid also sat out one game of the Sixers’ previous back-to-back this season, though for that one, they split up which night they missed. James missed a 127-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, while Embiid missed a 106-93 loss to the Detroit Pistons.

There’s a chance the Sixers will get Jaylen Brown back from a one-game absence for left patellar tendinopathy, commonly known as jumper’s knee. Brown missed Friday’s win over the Knicks but is listed as questionable for Saturday.
The Sixers also are inching closer to getting more reinforcements for their depleted frontcourt. Jabari Walker, who has missed the last three games (also with left patellar tendinopathy), is listed as questionable. Center Tacko Fall, who the team signed to a two-way contract out of training camp, is listed as questionable because of a left quad injury. Fall has yet to make his Sixers debut.
